Looking to mix up your fitness routine? Or possibly just fancy a fun day hanging out with friends? Aerial Hoop is fun fitness at its finest and a more exciting alternative to your traditional gym. Over time, you'll develop strength and flexibility and we'll get you using muscles you didn't know existed. Aerial Hoop classes with us combine circus fitness with dance based movement. Sessions are taught on low hanging metal hoops and will challenge you physically and mentally. We love our circus roots, so we'll be sure to include circus tricks and flips with some spinning thrown in for good measure.
We use professional equipment, experienced teachers and love welcoming new students to our community! Our sessions are suitable for beginners with no experience required. On top of this, we host parties, corporate team building events and offer performances for special occasions! Contact us for more information.
Hopefully you’ve found what you’re looking for? If you’re still a little unsure of which session is best for you, reach out to us and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. In Aerial Hoop we spend some time upside down so we recommend fitted clothing to avoid loose clothing falling down or getting tangled in the fabric.
We provide all the equipment you could need.
Bring some water with you to stay hydrated throughout class.
For most people, Aerial Hoop is a safe form of exercise. However, some people that would be best to avoid Aerial Hoop completely. For example, if you have glaucoma, high or low blood pressure or any neurological conditions. Please check with a medical professional to make sure it is suitable for you if you have any other health issues.
In addition, if you have recently had surgery you should consult with your doctor before attending class.
We would not recommend starting Aerial if you're pregnant. Unfortunately lots of poses within a regular classes would not be suitable during pregnancy. However, many women who are experienced aerialists who become pregnant often continue practicing with modified versions of poses.
All physical activity carries some form of risk, with that said, Aerial Hoop is an incredibly safe exercise. All our equipment has been tested and purpose built for Aerial Hoop. On top of our professional equipment and regular checks, we also make sure our instructors are highly qualified to assure the safety of our students.
We recommend that you leave at least two hours between a main meal and attending class. Digestion of food requires energy and when you do attend class straight after a meal, your energy goes to the muscles you’re exercising and the body can’t digest the food properly.
Also, one of the amazing things about Aerial Hoop is the ease of inverting which is not ideal when the body is trying to digest.
You do not need to be flexible to practice Aerial Hoop; increased flexibility and strength will come in time as you practice.
We’re located next to a large building which has communal changing rooms, showers and toilets. This space is not attached to the studio, so best to visit before you check in for class. The facilities are located inside the Innovation Centre, the large grey building next to the studio.
We’re located on Howbery Business Park which has plenty of free parking available. Please make sure you park within a bay and not blocking anyone else's vehicle.
To save your space on the waitlist payment is required. If it is less than 24 hours, one of us will phone or email you to see if you want the space before adding you on.
